We came from Seattle, Dallas, and Austin to meet in Denver, where Partners Group hosted us at their new digs in Broomfield, CO. Our C-Suite leadership, Division Presidents, Acquisition and Development Leaders, and Investor Relations teams sat down to review current projects, look at our pipeline, and workshop plans for our future.

Frank. - Austin, TX
What's it like to live at Frank in Bouldin? This friend has it all figured out.
Meridian - Dallas, TX
What makes a new house a home? Steve and Pasi took matters into their own hands when they made the big leap. Since they’d already fallen in love with the house – front porch, easy spaces, energy efficiency – they landscaped their back yard and turned it into an outdoor room of their own. Take a look at their style and get inspired for your house hunt.
Meridian - Dallas, TX
Searching for a new home can be tricky, but Leah and Rob figured it out. They wanted something in Dallas that was in the city but had a distinct neighborhood feel. They wanted a new construction home that still felt like it was made just for them.
Dallas, TX
Meet our friends, Hazel and Chris, who were looking for a new construction home in Dallas. They went for a drive and found StoryBuilt’s Meridian. Was it love at first sight? Sounds like it. Have a look at what it’s like to live in a StoryBuilt home.
Ruben Esquivel designed Seeds of Change as part of a local Austin artists movement to raise funds and stand in solidarity with the Black community. The piece was painted at our community Willa at 1600 S. 1st Street with help from Zuzu Perkal and Justin Hughes. The installation is part of the “Black Legacy Project” by Ruben Esquivel, Sadé Lawson, Niz, and Zuzu.
Willa’s new mural is incredibly gorgeous. See some of your fave Texas animals in a new light. Artist Ruben Esquivel took inspiration from some family roots and brought the style of Otomi textiles to Austin with help from artist friends. We’re so glad he did.
Partner: Austin Dog Rescue
Frank was the inspiration for our rescue naming program. He’s the dog behind the name, the beautiful soul behind the public face. We love it when he comes around our Headquarters (at Frank, of course!)
Partner: Austin Zoo
He’s an 18-year-old Red-lored Amazon Parrot and lives at the Austin Zoo. Parrots don’t make great pets because of their complex social and dietary needs. George has a slight neurological issue that affects his balance, so he needs to stand on flat surfaces. He stays busy by starring in internet videos and working with Girl Scouts. He might make their cookies. We’re not sure.
Partner: Heart of Texas Lab Rescue
Our namesake. She’s active, social, and loves to be around lots of people. Her favorite things are playing with her humans, running around, and looking for any chance at food – which strikes us as a great way to live. Sometimes simple things can create a big idea. In honor of Willa we are making a donation to her first home, the Heart of Texas Lab Rescue.
Partner: Pug Rescue of Austin
The star behind the name. Lucy was adopted from an unsafe home. It took her a while to get comfortable in her new place, but once she did, she made it work. Her favorite hobby is finding the right bit of sunshine and napping in it for hours.
Partner: Dallas Pets Alive
Goose was adopted from Dallas Pets Alive in February 2018 after being found in an alley behind the King Noodle restaurant. His family had a dog named Maverick, so obviously this lovely newcomer had to be Goose. According to his family, he is now constantly full of energy and is happy to run and run. He’s a little worried about loud noises. He loves getting his paws rubbed and will put his paw in any new friend’s lap so they can get in on the action. We love his fast ways and how Goose always feels the need for speed.
Partner: Austin Animal Center
This adventurous friend had to make his own way in the world for a while, but he didn’t let that get him down. He came wandering up to one of our team members during her coffee run to spend some time visiting with her and her dog. Bruno liked them so much he decided to follow them back to StoryBuilt’s offices.
What to do? He had no leash, and he couldn’t be left wandering on busy South First. One of our Architects took him into their trailer/office and they had some serious love at first sight before animal control came to keep Bruno safe for a few days.
Once no owner came forward, Bruno went to his new forever home with his new Architect friend. This was summer of 2018 and they’re still going strong. We love a happy ending.
